What started as a fun night out quickly spiraled into a torrential downpour in an unfamiliar neighborhood, leaving us soaked and stranded while trying to secure an Uber ride back.
As we stood there, drenched and apprehensive, the kindness of a stranger ultimately saved us, reminding me of the importance of having a solid plan when attending events.
